Pastor Kyle serves as the lead pastor of Seven Locks Baptist Church. The core of his identity is centered in building relationships first with God and with people. His calling in ministry has always been about caring for people and helping them connect with Jesus on a personal level. Pastor Kyle sees relationships as the driving force behind sharing the gospel and fueling the ministry of the church.
He was born and raised in Caldwell, Texas, a small town about thirty miles from College Station. At the age of five, he gave his life to Christ, and by fourteen he felt called into ministry. Since then, he has served in a variety of roles, including Nursing Home Chaplain, Youth Minister, and pastor of three churches. His journey in ministry has taken his family from one side of Texas to the other—and eventually to Maryland.
Pastor Kyle met his wife, Alma, while attending the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. They married in 2004 and are proud parents of two wonderful children, Elena and Ellyot. Every day with them is an adventure, and they are truly a blessing.
Outside of ministry, Pastor Kyle enjoys hiking with his family, cheering on the Texas Aggies, following baseball, and collecting books. He brings the same energy and curiosity from these passions into his pastoral work.
Above all, Pastor Kyle’s life has been transformed by God, and his mission is to help others discover their new identity and calling through a relationship with Jesus.
